Only a handful of European cities can claim to contain little to often the eyes. Paris is one and Prague is another. It is perhaps Krakow, Poland that is the most pleasantly surprising to millions of international visitors each year. One of Europe’s best kept treasures often ranked in top of top city break destinations. Dating back to early medieval times, Krakow is Poland’s strongest and more recognisable city brand, filled with heritage architecture, museums, the oldest University campus in Poland, thousands of bars and restaurants and cultural events. It is the historic seat of Polish Monarchs, Poland’s former capital, my home town, and the cradle of Polish culture, history and arts. In 2015 Krakow was visited by over 10 million people. It’s heart – the Rynek square has been voted to be worlds most beautiful public square. A UNESCO World Heritage Site & UNESCO City of Literature, Krakow continues to impress, inspire and attract travellers and recently also businesses from around the globe. According to the World Investment Report 2011 by the UN Conference for Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Kraków is also the most emergent city location for investment in global BPO projects (Business Process Outsourcing) in the world and the first business outsourcing hub in Europe, having surpassed Dublin in the recent years. In 2016 Krakow hosts World Youth Days.
